A palm-sized rechargeable mosquito repeller from Flextail, built for camping and backpacking rather than the patio. A USB-C battery heats a replaceable pad soaked with two volatile pyrethroids, prallethrin and meperfluthrin, and the warmed pad releases a vapor meant to hold a protected zone around you in still air. It runs several hours per charge, switches between a hotter high-output mode and a cooler long-runtime mode, and doubles as a small lantern and power bank. Like all heat-mat emanators it protects a space rather than your skin, and it is at the mercy of moving air: the vapor drifts and thins in any breeze, so the honest expectation is a modest close-range bubble in calm conditions and much less once the wind picks up. The pesticide pads ship separately and the device itself carries no EPA registration number.
