Pros
- A solid 25% DEET workhorse, 5 to 6 hours of cover with the full formula disclosed.
- All five audited claims check out, so the label matches reality.
Cons
- Standard DEET caveats: a tacky feel, and keep it off plastics and synthetics.
The full review
This 25% DEET pump spray clears the bar for a recommended rating on a familiar case: DEET's settled evidence, all 5 audited claims holding up strong, and a clean safety read with only a minor aquatic-toxicity deduction. Our model puts complete protection at 5 to 6 hours against mosquitoes and 3 to 4 against ticks, a respectable everyday window from a mid-strength concentration. What costs it the most is transparency, which takes a real hit because the inert ingredients are not fully accounted for even though the active and its strength are disclosed. The powder-scented fine mist suits backyard use, and it comes in continuous-spray and fragrance-free versions under the same registration. Standard DEET caveats apply: a tacky feel, and keep it off plastics and synthetics.

Effectiveness45%92Mosquitoes: 5–6 h of complete protection. Ticks: 3–4 h of complete protection. Protection times are modeled from the actives, concentration, and format (see methodology). Scored on a saturating curve (each added hour counts less than the last), 65% mosquito / 35% tick, with reasonable confidence.

How long it protects
Complete protection ends when the first bite gets through; partial protection keeps reducing bites as repellency decays. EPA label times are verified; the rest are modeled from the actives, concentration, and format.
Mosquito estimate basis (moderate confidence)
Estimated complete protection time from active ingredient + concentration; the source research used a spray-style formulation, matching this spray (no format adjustment). Partial protection (reduced but real bite suppression) is modeled to extend to ~11 h as repellency decays.
Tick estimate basis (moderate confidence)
Estimated complete protection time from active ingredient + concentration; the source research used a spray-style formulation, matching this spray (no format adjustment). Partial protection (reduced but real bite suppression) is modeled to extend to ~7 h as repellency decays.
Ingredient disclosure
This product publishes an ingredient list (+20); discloses 100% of active concentrations (+40); discloses 100% of all ingredient concentrations (+15); inert ingredients are not fully accounted for (0).
Only active ingredients are disclosed. The full ingredient list (inerts/carriers) is not published, so this may not be the complete formula.

How to apply it
Apply evenly to exposed skin (the fine-mist pump can also treat hair and clothing), using just enough to cover; do not apply over cuts, wounds, or irritated skin, near the eyes and mouth, or to children's hands, and apply sparingly around the ears. When using on children, apply to your own hands first and then to the child; do not allow children to handle the product. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating or drinking, and remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Reapply after about 4 hours or as biting resumes.
