Summary

Laboratory vapor-toxicity ranking of five volatile pyrethroids against four mosquito species.

Key findings

Vapor LC50/LC90 across all four species ranked transfluthrin and meperfluthrin as the most potent, then metofluthrin, then prallethrin; the fluorinated pyrethroids killed at lower vapor concentrations than non-fluorinated prallethrin.

Limitations

Static-chamber lab assay measuring lethality, not field spatial protection of people.
