Field study of how pyrethroid resistance undermines space-spray adulticiding.
Key findings
Thermal-fog deltamethrin killed only 47 to 63% of susceptible sentinels and under 10% of resistant field mosquitoes, and produced no detectable reduction in adult or larval field densities over 3 weeks.
Limitations
Resistance-driven result; part of the population rests where fog cannot reach.
