Summary
Mat-vaporizer knockdown assays of prallethrin against field Aedes albopictus.
Key findings
For mat vaporizers, prallethrin plus PBO gave a knockdown time of 1.19 to 2.00 minutes with 84 to 100 percent mortality, versus prallethrin alone at 1.39 to 5.85 minutes, showing the synergist markedly speeds knockdown and raises kill.
Limitations
Enclosed-chamber assay measuring knockdown of caged mosquitoes, not human-protection endpoints.
