Summary

Field efficacy and duration trial of a Bti biolarvicide across three mosquito genera.

Key findings

At 1 ml per 50 L, Bti gave at least 80% larval reduction for 10 to 17 days in clean water (Ae. aegypti and An. stephensi) and up to 10 days for Cx. quinquefasciatus, dropping to 4 to 7 days in polluted water.

Limitations

Semi-field container trial; duration is highly dependent on water quality.
