Summary

Field trial of slow-release methoprene pellets in storm water catch basins.

Key findings

Slow-release Altosid pellets at about 3.5 g per average catch basin controlled mosquitoes for roughly one month under field conditions and substantially longer in the lab.

Limitations

Single habitat type (catch basins) with an emergence-jar observation design rather than randomization.
