Summary

Glass-chamber coil bioassays of prallethrin and other actives against field Aedes albopictus.

Key findings

Prallethrin was the slowest-acting of the four actives, with a knockdown time (KT50) of 5 to 17 minutes and highly variable 24-hour mortality across ten field populations, versus faster, more consistent metofluthrin.

Limitations

Glass-chamber assay of commercial coils, with population resistance confounding the mortality range.
