Summary

Chamber knockdown and mortality assay of pyrethrins coils against Anopheles gambiae.

Key findings

Two-hour exposure produced 99% (0.4%) and 98.5% (0.3%) mortality, and one hour of 0.3% pyrethrins coil smoke gave 100% knockdown.

Limitations

Chamber knockdown assay rather than a human-protection field trial, so it overstates real-room personal protection.
